Emma likes growing things that are edible. Her kitchen garden is only 5 years old, and a work in progress. Lots of things are grow in containers, but there are also 3 raised beds and some minarette fruit trees planted directly into the (heavy clay) soil.

There's also a half finished Grow Dome (a self-heating greenhouse) and two chickens - Hen Solo and Princess Layer - who helpfully ignore weeds and try and eat the crops. But they do like snails, so they're forgiven. Usually.

Forthcoming episodes include: Seeds for late sowing, companion planting, book reviews and seed saving. If you have any comment (text or audio), hints & tips or anecdotes that you would like included in the show then email akgpodcast@gmail.com

So Fantastic!
Emma is just wonderful to listen to - she gives practical advice, frugal tips and great ideas that anyone can adapt. If you have a window, you can have a garden. I'm finally trying garlic in tubs - I'll let you know how it goes! Thanks for the inspiration...you are green thumb wonder!
Cheers!
